US to Loan Up to 40M Barrels from SPR

The US Department of Energy is offering to loan up to 40 million barrels of crude from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, completing the US share of a March coordinated release agreement with about 30 IEA member countries following the war on Iran. SPR inventories have fallen to below 284 million barrels, the lowest since 1982.
